What invisible really means
The finished surface becomes the speaker.
A conventional architectural speaker usually leaves a visible grille. An invisible speaker uses an acoustic panel integrated into the wall or ceiling and finished according to its manufacturer’s instructions. 01 / Controlled Resonance Technology
Nakymatone: sound within the surface.
Nakymatone calls its approach Controlled Resonance Technology (CRT). Rather than exposing a conventional cone behind a grille, it uses a resonating panel as the radiating surface. Its Canadian-made invisible panel range gives SES several ways to match the listening brief, available space and project budget. Discover Nakymatone.
The flagship panel, with an aluminum honeycomb core and an acoustically tuned aluminum enclosure. A starting point when music performance is a central part of the brief.
A more accessible CRT option using a stitch-welded aluminum enclosure. It offers another performance and budget balance within the same concealed-panel approach.
The entry point to the CRT range, positioned by Nakymatone for commercial and distributed applications. An option for background music and distributed coverage, selected by SES to suit the space.
A dual-channel, single-point stereo panel: left and right signals feed one installation location. SES chooses single-point coverage or a spaced pair to suit the room and the stereo experience you want.
A shallower panel intended for constrained wall or ceiling spaces. SES checks the actual cavity, framing and finish before specifying it for a renovation or compact construction.
Laag hides a subwoofer enclosure and routes bass to a vent. Base integrates bass through a slim opening at a baseboard or cabinet kick plate. Both require an opening into the room.

02 / Distributed Mode Loudspeakers
Amina: begin with the finish.
Amina’s Distributed Mode Loudspeaker (DML) approach uses bending waves across a lightweight panel. It is designed to spread sound broadly, making it worth considering for rooms where people move, gather and listen from different positions. The distinction within its range is especially useful for designers: each family has a particular relationship with the finished surface. Read Amina’s DML technology overview.
Sapphire
Sapphire uses Amina’s Symphony Cell composite panel. The listed range includes Sapphire 250, Sapphire 375, Sapphire Dual and Sapphire S200. The S200 is a narrower-format option; the range is intended to integrate behind approved finishes including plaster, wood, leather and laminate.
For homeowners, the appeal is the ability to choose audio alongside beautiful materials. SES specifies the compatible covering, thickness, backbox and protection for the selected model, then coordinates the installation and finish.
Edgei
The Edge 3i, Edge 5i and Edge 7i range is designed around drywall construction. A tapered perimeter is taped, filled and sanded, then the face receives the specified fine finishing treatment and paint.
SES finishes Edgei using its specified drywall method, without a full plaster skim over the panel. We also assess and carry out suitable post-plaster retrofits, bringing the installation and decorating together.
Mobiusi
Mobiusi is designed for covering materials that include a 2 mm full plaster skim and approved wood, leather or high-pressure laminate applications. The family lists Mobius 3i, Mobius 5i, Mobius 5i-S200, Mobius 7i and Mobius Duali.
This gives SES another route when the interior calls for a continuous plastered surface or a specific decorative finish. The narrow 5i-S200 and dual-channel Duali add installation choices within the range.
Concealed bass
Amina’s bass range includes ALF80, ALF50SM, ALF100SM and ALF100CV. These conceal the enclosure and deliver bass through a small port or slot. Mounting options vary across walls, ceilings, cabinetry and other locations.
The ALF50SM, ALF100SM and ALF100CV list external DSP requirements. SES coordinates bass amplification, processing and the visible opening with the interior design. We place and finish the opening as part of the room’s overall design.
03 / Motion Flex Technology
Sonance: the Invisible Series.
Sonance combines a Wave Flex Drive Unit and an Air Flex Woofer within its Motion Flex technology. The aim is a broad listening experience from a panel that disappears into the room. Its DISC depth-sensing system helps the installer measure finish thickness, connecting an invisible appearance with a controlled installation process. Explore Sonance Invisible Series.

Bass without a separate grille
The IS10W adds a single-woofer option. The IS10-2W uses two 10-inch woofers and is specified for in-wall installation only. These give SES finished-over bass options within the Invisible Series. SES designs the amplification, crossover settings and placement together for a balanced listening experience.
A measurable finishing process
For IS6, IS8 and IS10, Sonance lists up to 3 mm of topping compound, plus specified applications with select plasters, wallpaper, leather and wood veneer. SES uses DISC to verify the finish depth and follows the selected model’s finishing specification. See the IS10 installation resources.

Invisible speakers work as part of a system: a music source, amplification, discreet wiring and simple controls, with bass support and sound tuning where needed.
For example, whole-home music might use a multichannel amplifier serving several rooms, while two-channel listening might pair a stereo amplifier with left and right invisible speakers. Streaming can be built into the amplifier or supplied by a separate component.

Will they sound the same as freestanding speakers?
Invisible and freestanding speakers are designed for different applications, so a direct comparison isn’t the best measure of their performance. Invisible speakers are engineered to deliver impressive clarity, detail and musical enjoyment while disappearing into your home’s design. With carefully selected amplification, placement and tuning, SES brings everything together for a rich, engaging listening experience that sounds as beautiful as your room looks.
Can SES install invisible speakers in my existing home?
Yes—many existing homes are excellent candidates. SES assesses the construction and access, then handles the wiring, speaker installation, testing, surface repairs and painting included in your project. Where a room needs repainting to achieve a consistent finish, we include that work in the plan. You receive a complete installation, ready to enjoy.
Can I repaint or change the wall covering later?
Yes, in most cases. Each brand and speaker line has specific guidelines for repainting and compatible wall coverings. SES can support your project with expert advice at no additional cost, helping you choose the appropriate materials and approach so your updated finish preserves both the seamless appearance and the sound quality.
Can I enjoy both whole-home music and two-channel listening?
Yes. SES can design independent music zones throughout the home or a dedicated left-and-right stereo system for a favorite listening space. We match the speaker placement, amplification, music sources and controls to the experience, so listening stays simple and the equipment stays discreet.
