A Room for the Music

The listening room can feel effortless when the speakers and the way you play music are designed together.

A listening room that welcomes life

Let the room invite you to stay.

The best moments in a stereo room often begin without a plan. You sit down after dinner, choose an album and notice that a voice has taken shape between two speakers. The room feels open, and the equipment falls into the background.

KEF offers more than one way to create that experience. Its R Series Meta floorstanding speakers suit a system built around separate amplification. LS60 Wireless places amplification and streaming inside a slim pair of active speakers. SES helps choose the path that suits the room and the way you listen.

    The stereo picture

Sound takes shape between the speakers.

A stereo image depends on placement as much as on the speaker itself. Balanced spacing, a sensible listening distance and careful attention to nearby surfaces let vocals settle in the center and instruments spread across the room. SES begins with the intended seat, not a model number.

    Focus

Let the central image settle naturally between the speakers.

    Ease

Let the system fit comfortably into daily living.

    Detail

Hear texture, timing and the character of familiar recordings.

    Three KEF starting points

Match the speaker to the room and the way you listen.

    01 · R7 Meta

    The versatile passive tower.

The R7 Meta is a mid-sized floorstanding member of KEF’s R Series. It offers a considered choice for a living room or dedicated listening space when separate amplification and flexible source selection are part of the plan.

    02 · R11 Meta

    A larger R Series statement.

The R11 Meta brings the R Series floorstanding form to a larger scale. SES considers room volume, listening distance, furniture and the amplifier before recommending it over the R7 Meta.

    03 · LS60 Wireless

    A complete active stereo path.

LS60 Wireless combines active amplification, network streaming and source connections in a slender floorstanding pair. It simplifies the visible equipment plan while still needing a power outlet for each speaker and a reliable network.

    Five planning decisions

The room shapes the sound before music starts.

    01 · Placement

Spacing, wall distance and listening position establish focus and tonal balance.

    02 · Power

Passive R Series speakers need suitable external amplification. Each LS60 Wireless speaker needs mains power.

    03 · Sources

Plan streaming, television sound, turntable and any other sources before choosing connections.

    04 · Network

A dependable network makes app control and streaming feel easy in daily use.

    05 · Finish

Speaker finish, furniture, cable paths and outlets should be considered as part of the room.

    What completes the system

Separate components or an active pair?

R Series Meta towers are passive loudspeakers. A well-matched integrated amplifier or separate components provide power and the connections for music sources. That route gives the owner flexibility to shape and evolve the electronics over time.

LS60 Wireless takes a different approach: amplification and streaming are built in. Its wireless features do not remove the need for mains power at each speaker. SES can plan outlets, network, source connections, app setup and optional wired interspeaker connection as the room requires.

    Questions homeowners ask

A confident path to better listening.

    Is LS60 Wireless completely cable-free?

No. Each speaker needs a power connection. Audio and control can use the system’s wireless features, and the speakers can also use a wired interspeaker link. SES plans the cleanest practical installation for your room.

Do R7 Meta and R11 Meta need an amplifier?

Yes. They are passive speakers, so SES will specify amplification suited to the selected model, room and listening habits.

Can I enjoy music and television through the same pair?

Yes. SES can plan the source connections and everyday control so the stereo system serves both, while preserving an inviting music-first experience.

Will SES handle setup and refinement?

Yes. SES handles placement, connection, network setup where applicable, listening checks and orientation so the system is ready to enjoy.

    The SES process

    Plan, place, listen and refine.

SES reviews the room, speaker positions, listening seat, power and network before recommending the active or passive path. We then coordinate electronics, sources, wiring and furniture clearances. Once installed, we configure the system and refine it from the seat where you will actually listen.

    Final Perspective

    The decision in context.

The best KEF system feels at home in the room. The speaker form, electronics, power, network and listening position should work together from the first plan.
