PulseAudio by Vanco | SES product insight
Start with the moments, not the equipment.
Morning music in the kitchen may need to stay independent from an audiobook in the study. Later, adjoining rooms might share the same playlist. PulseAudio gives SES two compact ways to add network streaming: an in-wall amplifier for a new listening zone, or a small receiver that adds streaming to a compatible audio system already in place.
The right path depends on the speakers, wiring, network, controls, and whether rooms must play independently or together. SES can turn those choices into a design that feels simple when you use it.
Plan the listening areas
Three useful starting points.
One room
A kitchen, office, bedroom, or covered living area needs its own music and straightforward control.
Selected zones
A few rooms need independent choices, with the option to coordinate them when the current platform supports the intended behavior.
Existing audio
A working amplifier or distributed-audio system needs a compact network streaming source rather than a full replacement.

A NEW AMPLIFIED ZONE
PA230SWA
The PA230SWA combines a network streaming receiver and a two-channel, 2 x 30-watt amplifier in a single-gang wall-plate format. Vanco lists support for wired or wireless network streaming, its PulseAudio Streaming mobile app, AirPlay 2, Wi-Fi Direct, and several streaming services. Multiple units can be managed in one system, letting household members choose music for different listening areas.
Compact hardware does not remove the need for system design. SES still needs to match speaker impedance and sensitivity, choose the speaker locations, provide the specified power supply, confirm network coverage, plan wiring, and leave service access. The product page lists a 24-volt, 2.1-amp power supply and a 2 x 30-watt built-in amplifier.
A current control note
Do not promise a feature the app no longer provides.
Vanco currently states that Party Mode is not available in the PulseAudio Streaming app because of a chipset-manufacturer change. Its product pages still describe managing multiple compatible devices in the same system and assigning music to listening areas. SES should confirm the exact control and grouping experience expected for the project before a proposal is approved.
That distinction matters: several zones on one app are not automatically the same as guaranteed, tightly synchronized playback everywhere. The design should describe the intended behavior in plain language and validate it with the current app and firmware.
ADD STREAMING TO EXISTING AUDIO
PASTREAM2
The PASTREAM2 is a compact network streaming receiver without built-in speaker amplification. Vanco positions it as a way to add wired or wireless network streaming to an amplifier, powered speakers, or a distributed-audio system with a compatible analog input.
This can be a practical upgrade path when the existing amplifier and speakers still suit the room. SES would verify the available input, output level, network location, power, control expectations, and how the new source fits with the rest of the system before deciding that reuse is the better choice.

The SES design check
Five decisions before the equipment list.
01
Zones
Which rooms need independent playback, and which should sometimes share a source?
02
Speakers
What load, coverage, listening level, and visual treatment fit each room?
03
Network
Is reliable Wi-Fi present where each streamer will live, or is a wired path preferable?
04
Control
Which phones, services, guest scenarios, and grouping behaviors need to work?
05
Service
Where will power supplies, connections, and reset access remain reachable?
