SES room guide
Start with the swing, not the shopping cart.
The best golf simulator room gives you space to swing confidently, a screen sized for the room, and an easy path from a practice session to an evening with friends. SES carries Carl’s Place and can turn its enclosure and hitting-surface choices into one coordinated design for your home.
Choose the room experience
Three ways to make indoor golf feel at home.

Carl’s Place DIY Golf Enclosure Kit
A practical path for a garage, basement, or multipurpose room. The kit includes an impact screen, BlackStop enclosure, and frame fittings; plan for frame pipe or an optional pipe kit.
Best for: a flexible room with a safe swing area and a freestanding enclosure.

Carl’s Place Pro Golf Enclosure Kit
For a room where golf is the main event. Its enclosure structure supports a more substantial dedicated simulator presentation; SES can coordinate the screen, tracking, projection, and lighting around it.
Best for: a dedicated simulator room with a more finished enclosure.

Carl’s Place Built-In Golf Room Kit
For a purpose-built space where a wall-to-wall screen feels part of the architecture. Choose suitable side and ceiling protection, such as tiles, curtains, or padded panels, for the room plan.
Best for: a remodel or new room with an integrated finish.

Complete the hitting area
Carl’s HotShot Golf Mat System
A hitting surface belongs in the same plan as the enclosure. SES can consider Carl’s HotShot Golf Mat System when laying out the stance, hitting position, floor level, and launch monitor.
What you look at, and hit into
The impact screen changes the room.
Carl’s Place offers Standard, Preferred, Premium, and High-Contrast Gray Premium screen materials. Standard is a starting point for a value-led practice room. Preferred offers a smoother image surface. Premium adds a layered construction and noise-dampening center layer. High-Contrast Gray Premium is meant to produce deeper blacks in spaces with more ambient light.
SES would match the material to the room’s light, projector, expected play, and desired picture, then confirm the selected enclosure supports the screen choice. A brighter projected image alone cannot correct an enclosure that is too small, a poorly placed projector, or light falling directly onto the screen.
Before equipment is chosen
Measure the experience, not just the wall.
Check ceiling height, player stance, club path, and safe space for both right- and left-handed golfers.
Measure actual usable width, height, depth, side protection, and the clearance the chosen kit requires.
Match launch-monitor placement, projector throw, image shape, power, and network to the same room plan.
Keep spectators clear of the swing zone; plan seating, lighting, sound, and air movement.
For practice
Make every session easy to start.
A practice-first room prioritizes reliable tracking, a comfortable hitting surface, clear sightlines to the image, and a setup that is simple enough to use for twenty minutes after work. SES plans the launch monitor and software around how you actually practice.
For entertaining
Leave space for the people watching.
A social simulator can pair golf with music, sports, or movie nights. Seating stays outside the hitting area; lighting supports play without washing out the projected image. One clear control path can switch the room between practice and gathering.
The SES approach
One room plan before a single product order.
SES can review your room dimensions, intended golfers, swing orientation, priorities, and budget, then coordinate your Carl’s Place enclosure and mat with the screen, launch monitor, projector, network, power, lighting, and controls. The finished experience depends on the complete system fitting together.
