Room to Connect

Luxul Wi-Fi 6, thoughtful placement, and a wired foundation for daily life.

Luxul · SES product spotlight

A quieter place to get things done.

A morning meeting in the office, a tablet at the kitchen island, and a movie upstairs can all depend on the same home network. Luxul offers professional networking equipment that SES can build into a coordinated installation. Two useful starting points are a Wi-Fi 6 access point for wireless devices and a fanless PoE switch for the wired connections behind it.

WIRELESS ACCESS

Luxul AP-3064

The AP-3064 is an indoor Wi-Fi 6 access point with 4×4 dual-band wireless operation on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. It connects back to the network through a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port that also supports Gigabit connections. Compatible PoE power supplies electricity through that cable; the manufacturer’s specification sheet lists a PoE+ source as a minimum requirement, and an injector is not included.

Wall, ceiling, and horizontal mounting options let SES consider both coverage and appearance. It is an access point, so the proposal also needs a router, suitable switching, cabling, and configuration. The AP-3064 is intended for indoor use; a patio or detached structure needs its own equipment and connection plan.

Match the experience

Three places to begin.

The home office

Tell SES where calls take place and which devices move during the day. The design can prioritize those seats and review a wired connection for a fixed workstation.

The family floor

A kitchen, lounge, and adjoining rooms may share busy wireless space. SES can check access-point locations against walls, furniture, and the devices the household actually uses.

The finished home

Existing cable routes and acceptable mounting locations shape an upgrade. SES can inspect what can be reused and explain where a new cable would make a meaningful difference.

WIRED CONNECTIONS & POWER

LuxulSW-505-8P-F

This fanless managed switch has eight Gigabit PoE+ ports, two unpowered Ethernet ports, and two 1 Gb SFP ports. Its total PoE budget is 130 watts. Fanless operation makes it worth considering where equipment noise matters, while the powered ports can serve compatible access points or other network devices.

SES would calculate the power needed by every connected device and allow for planned additions. The port count and total power budget must fit the installation together; eight powered ports do not mean unlimited power on all of them.

Choose the right pairing

Match the wired path to the goal.

The AP-3064’s 2.5 GbE capability does not turn a Gigabit switch port into a faster connection. With the featured switch, that wired link is limited to Gigabit speed. If multi-gig throughput is a project goal, SES should select compatible upstream equipment and test the cable path.

Likewise, AX3600 is a wireless class rating, not a promise of 3.6 Gbps internet speed for one device. The manufacturer lists separate radio rates for the two bands. Actual results depend on the client device, radio conditions, wired links, and internet service. A proposal should state the experience being designed and how it will be checked.

A supported installation

Set up once. Keep a clear record.

Luxul’s Windows Deployment Tool can discover AP-3064 units and help an installer save and restore their configurations. SES can use the appropriate current setup tools and firmware for the selected equipment, then leave a documented installation that can be supported as the household changes.

Before recommending products, SES would review the floor plan, existing equipment, available cables, mounting preferences, device load, and troublesome rooms. Validation should include the places where you work and relax, using your own devices. That turns an equipment list into a practical home upgrade.

Final Perspective

The decision in context.

A useful Luxul upgrade begins with the rooms and devices that need to work together. Choose access, switching, cabling, and power as one installation, then check the finished experience.
